The singer who put Kabyle music on the world stage just died.

I listen a bit to music from Morocco and Algeria but wouldn't have a strong knowledge of it.

I read online in a French periodical article from
Le Courrier de l'Atlas,
that Idir recorded a duet with Alan Stivell.
The article says the title of the song was
"Ilsatyen"
but does not specify which album of music featured the song.

article from a periodical based in Algiers,
El Watan, and
one journalist's reminiscence of the occasion
when Idir returned to North Africa to perform, late in life,
for the Amazigh/Kabyle population there.
There's also a photograph of Idir when he was very young indeed.

the article misspelled the title of the song. It is

"Isaltiyen," translated as "The Celts."
