Another song that needs research.

In the year of eighteen hundred, it being in the month of June
When flowers deplored their mantles, all nature being in bloom
Our gallant ship, Rebecca, as she sailed down that day
As she sailed down from Moville town going to Amerikay

There was a young man on her deck, his age being twenty one
His home and habitation lies near to Bellalin
His height five feet eleven, well built from top to toe
He’s a credit to his parents both no matter where he goes

Oh he has a sweetheart in Moville and it’s her he does love dear
And it’s when he thinks on parting, he does shed many a tear
When he thinks on separation, it grieves his heart full sore
Sawing adieu to lovely Marjorie, will I see you more

Oh it’s Marjorie, lovely Marjorie, oh if I could cry my fill
When I think of the pleasant evenings we both spent in Moville
When I think on separation it grieves my heart full sore
Saying adieu, adieu to that fair maid will I ever see you more

But when you will reach the other side your friends they’ll meet you all
They’ll take you to a neighbors’ house, strong liquor they will call
They will sing and they’ll drink whiskey, their sorrows for to drown
And you’ll think no more on Marjorie and the pride of Moville town

Oh, it’s Marjorie lovely Marjorie on me you can depend
To fulfill the promise that I made and passage to you send
To fulfill the promise that I made and that without delay
And bring you o’er in splendor all to Amerikay

Jim, did you find out anything about the ship "Rebecca", a real ship?
