I was saddened to read that Emitt Rhodes, vocalist and guitarist in
1960's group, the Merry-Go-Round has passed away.
Rhodes was 70. He died on Sunday in his sleep. His death was
announced by his friend and producer, Chris Price.
His 1967 debut self-titled album included songs, "You're A Very Lovely
Woman" and "Live."

I remember those songs very well from my junior high school days in
Los Angeles. I thought he had a great voice and very talented.
I still know all the lyrics to both songs. I really liked them alot!
Always sang along when they came on the radio in my little junior high school girl voice.

Another sad loss. He wrote 'Time Will Show The Wiser' a fine song with a telling lyric for The Merry-Go-Round and the early Fairport, ever with an ear for a good cover included it in their sets. A good guitar workout for Richard too but let's not forget the talent that produced a quality song that endures along with many others.

Yes, "Time Will Show the Wiser." Although not as well knowm as the other two songs, it is a really great and well written song. Thanks Clive for mentioning it.
