A few years ago, the death of a reasonably well-known folksinger from the 1960s was reported in a thread here at Mudcat. The man had mostly retired from singing, and he was a minister somewhere near Amador County, California. I searched fruitlessly under minister, amador, and Sutter Creek. I thought it might be Bob Blue or Patrick Sky or Tom Hunter, but that didn't work. As I recall, he died after a lengthy illness.
Anybody know who that might have been?

It wasn't Joe Frazier (from the Chad MItchell trio) was it, Joe? I know he was a minister...and his last posting was at at St. Columba's Church in Big Bear Lake, CA

It sounds like it could be Joe Frazier, except I don't know about the location.

No, it wasn't Father Joe Frazier, who was an Episcopal priest (who attended the Catholic Gonzaga University in Spokane).

It's another name that was even more familiar, and I just can't think of who it was. He was somewhere in the southern Gold Rush country, between Amador and Tuolumne Counties.
