Subject: 60s singer who died in Amador Co., Calif From: Joe Offer Date: 21 Oct 20 - 04:49 PM A few years ago, the death of a reasonably well-known folksinger from the 1960s was reported in a thread here at Mudcat. The man had mostly retired from singing, and he was a minister somewhere near Amador County, California. I searched fruitlessly under minister, amador, and Sutter Creek. I thought it might be Bob Blue or Patrick Sky or Tom Hunter, but that didn't work. As I recall, he died after a lengthy illness. Anybody know who that might have been? -Joe- |

Subject: RE: 60s singer who died in Amador Co., Calif From: Joe Offer Date: 21 Oct 20 - 08:49 PM No, it wasn't Father Joe Frazier, who was an Episcopal priest (who attended the Catholic Gonzaga University in Spokane). It's another name that was even more familiar, and I just can't think of who it was. He was somewhere in the southern Gold Rush country, between Amador and Tuolumne Counties. -Joe- |
