Hi mg,

Are you looking for a song or songs about herring fishing or processing, or are you looking for a specific song.

I probably won't be able to help out on either request because I'm not a singer (and fish is not my favourite food) but I'm just asking for clarification.

The only song I can think of is Shoals of Herring.

Not looking for any specific song period shows of hearing is great but I am avoiding copy right songs for simplicity purposes.

Hundreds of versions of Herring's Head.

There are some herring fishing songs in the London Magazine for the 1750s online. I have copies somewhere. They're about when herring fishing started up as a national venture in the UK.
