I'm rewatching Jos Whedon's 'Firefly' and really enjoying it. Even better second time round. Question is - Anyone know anything about the music and its performers? Some details here - https://firefly.fandom.com/wiki/Music - but I wondered if anyone know any of the artists or songs and if anyone performs any of the songs?

I bet there a 'filk' forums where you'd get numerous replies.
I had never heard of 'filk' before I watched a couple of Piers Cawley's lockdown song swap videos. Apparently it's quite a big cult thing:

OT but the only Firefly I knew of was a 1937 film. I don't think I've ever seen it but we did have a 78 of "The Donkey Serenade" that came from it.

Firefly was JW's greatest work in my opinion (and he did some great stuff).

Oops, forgot to log in. I'll add that the music was indeed pretty cool.

If you've not yet looked, there's quite a bit of information in the Wikipedia entry:

I'm sure there's an echo of Hughie the Graeme in the Ballad of Serenity. Compare:

"Peace, be still, my father dear,
All your grieving, let it be,
Though they bereave me of my life
They cannot take the heavens from me."

"Take my life, take my land
Take me where I cannot stand.
I don't care, I'm still free:
You can't take the sky from me,"

Whedon's 'sky' means something different from HtG's 'heavens', but the sentiment's very similar.
