Subject: Help me identify song abt soldier ghost From: Levana Taylor Date: 28 Dec 21 - 11:06 AM Trying to identify a song I heard a few years back, written by a contemporary folk songwriter. It's narrated by the ghost of a soldier who was killed in the Indian Wars (at Little Big Horn?) and now regrets participating -- had previously fought against slavery and/or for Irish independence and says, why didn't I realize I was on the wrong side out west? There's a line about how he'll never see his brother in the afterlife. |

My friend John Shreve recorded it on "Wild and windy places" https://www.john-shreve.de/ Best wishes Ernest |
