This is one of the saddest things I have had to do in a long, long, time.
The appended message came in the last few minutes from Ray's much loved Grandson Sean.
Ray Donnelly's name was synonymous with Louth Folk Club for more years than I can remember. Following the passing of Dominic Duffy in 2014, Ray became "Mr L.F.C.", regaling us with his songs and stories and compering the evenings with skill and humour.
I hope that a good many of us will attend Ray's Funeral as a testament to the high regard in which he was held and how we shall retain the fondest of memories of the good times we shared.
