Seán Garvey, a well-respected singer mainly of traditional Irish songs in both English and Irish languages; and a musician who played guitar, flute and banjo, died suddenly on 6 May 2022.

RTE1 radio programme, The Rolling Wave, from 9-10 p.m. Sunday nights, on 15 May 2022 was a tribute to Seán Garvey, with lots of songs and also selected excerpts from interviews with Seán. Well worth a listen.
