Subject: Obit: Mike Redford From: Rusty Dobro Date: 12 Nov 22 - 06:31 PM Just heard from his partner, Lynn, that Mike Redgrave, long-time stalwart of the Suffolk pub scene, has passed away at the age of 78. Maybe his enthusiasm for music took second place to his love of motorbikes, which he raced in his younger years, but he made many friends with his songs, particularly his lively renditions of music hall songs. We’ll miss him. |
Subject: RE: 2022 Obit: Mike Redford (Suffolk) From: Waddon Pete Date: 14 Nov 22 - 10:51 AM Predictive text is very helpful.....except when it isn't! Mike REDFORD was well-known in "The Golden Key," a lovely little pub in Ipswich, Suffolk, England. Sadly it is now a Tesco's. Mike was a cheerful man, who would turn up at the Golden Key' and share with everyone his range of Music Hall songs such as, "If it wasn’t for the houses in between", or ‘Come inside, you silly bugger, come inside!’. Health problems prevented him singing in recent years, but he will be fondly remembered. Rest in Peace Mike. I have added his name to the "In Memoriam" thread and send my condolences to Lynn and all those who know and love him. |
