Subject: RE: Not Exactly Folk, But... (Pipe Organs) From: Joe Offer Date: 16 Nov 22 - 03:20 PM Fascinating. Once upon a time, I spent many hours working inside a pipe organ, and I've loved them ever since. St. John's Abbey in Minnesota has always been a center tor the study of Catholic church music, a Mecca for Catholic church musicians. |

Subject: RE: Not Exactly Folk, But... (Pipe Organs) From: leeneia Date: 22 Nov 22 - 02:38 PM I'd like to listen to the show, Saul, but when I click on it, I only get a news broadcast. But thanks for posting anyway. |

Subject: RE: Not Exactly Folk, But... (Pipe Organs) From: GUEST,.gargoyle Date: 29 Nov 22 - 09:03 PM SAUL - What a dear friend you are, to see pop-out of the advent calendar. A college professor friend, organist instructor and blind, took the European tour, permitting him to play on the same keyboards of the greats with the same cathedral resonance. It was a highlight in his later years ... and they allowed him to breakaway from the tour for 36 hours with his NL friends. I have an ache to return to the pipe-organ I knew 50 years ago in a marble mauselium. Sincerely, Gargoyle |
