Subject: Where are the 'real' Celtic mp3's From: clj Date: 18 Jan 00 - 07:05 PM I was wondering if anyone has found a site for Celtic mp3 downloads? I find www.mp3.com is woefully lacking in the stuff I like; i.e. If you search there for , say, Silly Wizard, Capercaille, Scartaglen, Connie Dover, Loreena Mc,Pentangle, Bothy Band, etc.up comes a big Goose egg. Thanks for your help. clj |
Subject: RE: Help: Where are the 'real' Celtic mp3's From: sam Date: 18 Jan 00 - 07:30 PM why not buy some CDs and help encourage them - most of the 'real' celtic musicians are probably poorer than you... Give them a break and put your hand in your pocket Sam |
Subject: RE: Help: Where are the 'real' Celtic mp3's From: Áine Date: 18 Jan 00 - 07:36 PM I agree with sam -- most of the 'real' musicians in this particular genre are not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination. If you'd like to expand the list of performers / groups that you listen to, go to the thread here and you'll get a myriad of new names and faces to get acquainted with. -- Áine |

My slight problem is I will need to develop some Internet or catalog sources due to where I live. Not a real stop on the Celtic Highway from the North. You are right, I should put my money where my heart is. Thanks, clj |
