Subject: Lyr Req: Jon Campbell Unrecorded Shammy Song From: Charley Noble Date: 22 May 23 - 08:38 PM One of the last times I heard Jon Campbell sing was at the Mystic Sea Music Festival in 2018, where he was doing MC work. He was singing a yachting work song, describing the arduous work that the crew had to do every day, polishing up the brass and stainless steel, and coiling the ropes. I'm thinking the title was something like "Shammying up the ..."? A "shammy" I believe is a work that describes a polishing cloth. I'd love to get the lyrics and the tune.
