Couldn't find anything in the Forum, and the DT search isn't working for me...

I just discovered these folks. Raunchy sea chanteys, regular sea chanteys, Irish folk songs, great good galumphing harmonies...

What do you think of them?

Tom Lehrer, Gilbert and Sullivan, and The Clancy Brothers And Tommy Makem Sing Of The Sea all had a baby together. Well, a litter.

Such great rhymes, as in Dahlia being nice and kinder than all'a'ya!

Such beautiful imagery: after the boisterous sailors ran and did not end up in jail "and the salt spray tastes finer than wine!"

So many words and syllables everywhere!

Also, such great covers of classics like Star of the County Down and the Wellerman and I'll Tell My Ma!

And yeah, a lot of raunch and bawd. But with great melody and, as they put it, "in four-part harmony --or more if we don't rehearse!" all in superb voices!
