Subject: Origins: HAVE: Swedish birthday song
From: GUEST,Jens
Date: 29 Sep 23 - 10:24 AM

Hello!

I am searching for an older English song that I have come across as a birthday song used in my family.
We have been using that song in its Swedish version for about 90 years I think. I came across sheet music of the song which told be the origin to be “an English song”. Nothing more.

So I am trying to find out as much as I can about the song.

Here is the Swedish sheet music for the song.

I hope someone recognises it.

Thanks
Jens

Hello Jens,

This sounds like a version of Vive l'Amour, an English song despite its French title. You can find more information on this Mudcat thread:

Origins: Vive l'Amour/Vive La Compagnie
