Last year, Durham Folk Weekend was 29-30 July. Is it happening this year. Google isn't giving me any clues.

In 2023 did it have any other title?

I spoke to a dancer at the Hexham Bluegrass Festival on 30 Jul last year and she told me they'd danced at Durham the previous day, the Saturday.

I got the impression that it was a long established, annual event but, like you Freddy, I can't find any mention of it anywhere.

There's a contact link at the bottom of the page though as Hexham is about 30 miles from Durham I doubt they were the actual organisers.

One should never presume Freddy.
I never lived closer than 65 miles from Whitby - and still do.
My predecessor the late Grahame Binless was 70 miles away but he was getting paid of course.
Pippa and Will Noble are running an event getting on for 200 miles from home!

I contacted Hexham Morris and, although they haven't committed to go, they have been invited to attend. The date? 27 July 2024.
