My partner and I are Americans traveling to Eastern Canada (Quebec, New Brunswick, possibly Nova Scotia) fairly soon, second week of April. We're folkies hoping to find local pub sings and singarounds to meet and sing with folks as we travel.

Are there folks here from the area with knowledge to impart, or a resource to point me toward?

Ah ha, thank you for that pointer!

I'm combing through the above thread and will follow up on events and venue names. It's from 2016, and there has been a lot of turnover since the pandemic. JY's music circle, for example, has no public event information posted to their page after Feb 2020. If anyone has current knowledge and is willing to share, that would be appreciated.

You could ask Marilyn Inch (St John New Brunswick area) - she is on Facebook. They had a great session at Cask & Kettle Irish Gastropub in St John last week

Adrien Doucette in Ormstown Quebec used to run music events at Café Namaste, not sure it's still happening. I think he's on Mudcat, he is on Facebook.
