Subject: RE: Tech: Can a US user try my Plex server? From: Dave the Gnome Date: 21 Apr 24 - 03:19 PM No - It's an HP mini PC running Linux Mint. I tried it on an old Pi 2B but it weas too slow. The HP was too slow for Windows 10 but great with Mint Not sure what cuz is running but I believe it is a dedicated TV type box with a Plex client loaded on it. I have had someone logged on to it from the States just now (Thank You :-D ) so I know it is possible. |

Subject: Tech: Can a US user try my Plex server? From: Dave the Gnome Date: 20 Apr 24 - 01:01 PM Hi tech heads I have a Plex media server running on a little Linux box. It works great and my family in the UK can link to it remotely too. I have been trying to share it with my cousin in the States though and he has had no luck. He is not tech savvy though and I wondered if someone on here would be willing to check out if they can get too it. You would need a Plex client and an invite from me via email. PM your email address if you can help No pay but you get a link to all my music, films and crap TV series :-) |
