Do you have the lyrics? If not, go to www.hepcat.com/goodman/glad. Sorry, I don't know how to make the blue click work.

SOMEBODY ELSES TROUBLES

    C F
Yesterday I went downtown and saw an old time picture show,
C Am
And the hero got a pie in the face,
C F
He didn't like that and he stormed around the screen,
C
But everybody else was laughing in that place.

CHORUS:

F
That's 'cause it ain't hard,
C
to get along with somebody else's troubles,
Am F C
they don't make you lose any sleep at night,
Am F
Just as long as fate is out there bustin',
C
Somebody else's bubble,
Am F C
Everything is gonna be alright.

I hope this comes out right. What I know about HTML consists of line breaks, which I learned right here on the Mudcat Cafe. It's really a great, easy song with the C-F-C-Am pattern, and the chorus starting on F, with a C, then Am, F and then C. The Am, F, and C. Then Am, F and C once again.

My description reminds me of an old John Hartford tune called "My Rag". Sorry, but I haven't figured out "Eight Ball Blues". If this comes out completely unintelligible, I will try to fix it. We need more Steve Goodman songs in this world.

Well, the chords came out in the right order, but they all lumped together at the beginning of the line for some reason. I have no idea why. But if you listen to the song, I'm sure you will get the proper placement of the chords. Play along with it, it's in standard tuning.
