Subject: Lyr Add: DAY OF THE CLIPPER (Steve Romanoff) From: kendall Date: 08 Feb 00 - 09:17 AM This was written by my good friend Steve Romanoff of the trio SCHOONER FARE.
You can see the squares of canvas dancing over the horizon.
CHO.: Sailing ships and sailing men will sail the open waters
Human dreams and wooden beams are all that makes her go,
Where the current goes, the clipper’s nose is plowing fields of green. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Day of the Clipper From: Michael Harrison Date: 05 Oct 08 - 01:01 AM Well, let's see,...chords. I will try to give them to you without a guitar handy. I do it in the key of "Bb" by capoing on the third fret and playing the first chord in the "G" configuration; therefore, I will put this forth as a song in "G." Intro: G C G F D G (I also do the intro after each chorus) Verse: G C G / G D / C D G C / G D G Chorus: D C G C D / C D G C / G D G > intro Truth is I had to go get a guitar, but those are the chords I use. Maybe someone else uses a different group of chords and will also put it out here. Cheers,..............mwh |
