Subject: Moving To Tampa, FL From: Don (it's too cold up here) Date: 11 Feb 00 - 09:15 AM Can anybody help me find people in the Tampa, St. Peterburg, Dunedan, Sarasota, Ybor City, Clearwater area who are interested in singing sea chanties and/or Irish/English music. I've spent my life in the lap of musical luxery in Washington, DC and am considering a move to Tampa, FL Any assistance, contacts, etc. would be welcome. TIA |
Subject: RE: Help: Moving To Tampa, FL From: Peg Date: 11 Feb 00 - 10:12 AM well, i have friends in Clearwater and Fort Myers; they are not into Celtic music really, nor are they musicians of that ilk, but I would be happy to ask them about it. I am heading down there for a visit the third week of March. If you post again or send me a message around then I will see what I can find out... peg |

Subject: RE: Help: Moving To Tampa, FL From: Fortunato Date: 11 Feb 00 - 12:12 PM Don't know about the celtic music down there. But if you go down to Tampa take a run over to Frenchy's Rockaway Grill in Clearwater Beach a half hour before sunset. Walk straight through and take a seat on the patio facing the Gulf. Order a microbrew or your pleasure. You'll be glad you did. Wish I was there instead of looking at the black snow lining the roads of Silver Spring. cheers, Fortunato. |

I tried and I thought I'd failed. Obviously I wasn't looking in the right place. It must have been next to the "snake". |
