Whilst looking through the "folk" section of the Virgin store in Oxford street, London I came across some CD's by Bridget St. John. I remember seeing her in the late sixties and buying some of her records i.e. "ask me no questions" and "songs for the gentleman". Where is she now? She must be 50 plus now but I will always remember her songs as some of the best I have ever heard.

Cheers Bob Merrett

No idea where Briget is now,but I did come across a CD released in 1995 on ``The Road Goes On Forever Records´´.
Previosly unreleased songs recorded between 1975 and 1982.

Greetings John

Mm, that takes me back (a little too far). Lovely guitar and vocals.

Wasn't she John Peels girlfriend for a while ? He certainly championed her cause and has a couple of tracks on one of the 'Top Gear' compilation LPs.

Thanks for bringing back the memories :)

Gary

I've heard that she passed away a few years ago, but I've never had the opportunity to confirm or deny.

BTW, she did some beautiful vocals on Mike Oldfield's "Ommadawn"
