DT, Olga, and different personnals pages on the net about Ted Hawkins. I wrote to one of them and he said that he didn't know that tune (???). That was a couple of month ago. I keep on searching.

I must say that the album «watch your step» is published by Rounder (2024).

This song now appears in more than one place.

After Hawkins' death (he died before this thread was started) it took time for people to record the tribute album, it must have been in the works most of these years. "Cold and Bitter Tears" was finally released in 2015, I can't find out what the label is, but it can be bought online. There is an uncredited track, an old demo of Ted Hawkins himself -- I think the title is "Great New Year." As for "Peace and Happiness," it, with the other credited songs, is covered by an artist paying tribute to the songwriter.

There exists another Ted Hawkins thread, but I suppose it is just as well to keep the two separate, as this is a lyric-request thread.
