Just scrolling the Canadian Press photo wire and found this in the cutline under a photo of an old autographed 45 by The Sultans, NY's first band. Just tho't you'd be interested — maybe in putting together a search-and-destroy mission....

The earliest known recordings of Young have been found in an Edmonton basement. CHQT morning man Bob Bradburn found himself staring at music history when a reel of tape, containing two of the first-ever recorded studio performances of Young, popped out of a box that had been collecting dust for more than 30 years.

Now is that any attitude to have, Troll. I tho't I was doing you guys a favor by posting that little tidbit. Figured you'd want to take up a collection and see if you could buy that priceless bit of history — maybe put it in a glass case in the lobby of the Neil Young Centre for the Terminally Screwed.

Jeeze, if that's all the thanks I'm gonna get, I think I'll shut down this old Mac and go home for the weekend....

Have a good one, guys....

As you ALL probably know, Chicago DJ's Steve Dahl and Garry Meier had their rock listeners bring their disco records to the local baseball stadium (Wrigley or Comiskey, can't recall). Maybe 1978? The records were stacked into a GIAMT BONFIRE pile and if I recall right, they were exploded. And it was a good day.

Obvious Mudcat FR opportunity... Create a real (3-D) Mudcat Festival, and charge extra above the cover charge to bring confiscated Neil Young material to destroy in some viciously Mudcat-appropriate way... Top bucks from the people who win the right to set off the destructive event....

Make and market a cartoon of same? I'm tellin ya, Mudcat cartoons would rock! (strum?)

Hi, guys, this is Neil writing from a friend's house. If any of you would like to sit down with a beer and compare your list of women you've dated to mine, let's set a time and place. I'll be in South Carolina for a few more days and then I'm free.

Not helpless, Neil

Well Neil, I think we have to sit down and agree to a few terms here. First, you have to absolutely positive they were really women......Now I know that reduced your number a bit, but let's also agree they could not be in a drug induced stupor........Cut out a lot of yours there huh?...Well, let's also try to keep it to the ones without a social disease and had bathed within the previous 6 months.......Oh, sorry, that really brought your list down too didn't it.....Well, just one more and we'll make it easy, they had to be alive at the time.......None left on your list huh? Well I am sorry Neil, really!!! Want to play Tiddly Winks?

Guys, it's Neil again. Spawman, for a guy who lives in perma-coupling with a marsupial, you do talk kinda big. Remember Nicolette Larson? There's good news and bad news. The good new is I'm sleeping with her. Still in your league, homeboy?

That's intriguing Neil......But we're talking mutual sex here, NOT sleeping. I don't know anyone who has successfully copulated while asleep, but in your case, I suppose anything is possible...........By the way, peeing the bed doesn't count as sex, even if you both enjoy it.

Say Praise ... Do you know the ELO piece that was so arfully presented by the "Sex Pistols?" Disco at its finest.

Naw, Spaw, never touch ELOs, their orchestras are too light for me, nor sex pistols neither. Hardiman's plenty for me!

'Spaw,

Hey, I really need your help, man! Chet W. is over at our house now and he's drivin' Hardiman nuts! Chet said he hadda leave to get away from a houseguest who'd overstayed his welcome, and now we can't get him to leave our place!

Can you send Cleigh over to clear the room? We used to count on our cat farts for this function, but now that we use Vah-Voom, there's no more help coming from that direction!
