BS: e-mail question

For us newbies: I don't understand how you e-mail each other. Maybe I'm missing it, but is there something you can click on to e-mail a reply to someone who has posted an entry? I've found a few addresses in bbc's resources, but that is only a small percentage of active 'Catters. Perhaps it is a confidentiality issue. Could someone please put it in black and white for me? BJ, You have to go to the Personal Pages link to send private messages within Mudcat. I'll send you a test message.

You are right, BlueJay, as far as email goes, it is up to each Mudcatter whether they want their addy to be publicly available or not. But, lots of us use the Personal Page Messages function that Tony and Sophocleese mention.

I don't know how it works with other who have made their e-mail address public on bbc's resources but I for one prefer to be contacted via e-mail when possible. That is not to say the personal messages is not a useful system - I just prefer to have all my communication in one place.
