I'm looking for the words to a song called Ace In The Hole. I first heard it in the coffee houses in Philly in the min-60's. Goes like this

Some of them write to the old folk for coin,

That is their ace in the hole.

Others have girls on the old Tenderlion

that is their ace in the hole.

then come some lines I can't remember.Then

But their names would be mud, like a chump playin' stud,

If they lost that old ace in the hole.

Hi, Troll, I went looking for this for my dad last summer, in this thread. As a result, I have a wonderful audio file which Frank Maher sent me of this from a 78. I thought I had transcribed the words from it, but cannot find them on my computer.

Sang the chorus of Ace in the Hole at a sing last night and was looking for: composer/lyricist/source. Found exchange in March this year with info from katlaughing and Troll. Someone apparently has an audiofile. I would much enjoyhaving the music to the verse. Please, someone, oblige! (and how do I do this?)
