Looking for the words to Cross the Brazos at Waco. It keeps coming up at a jam I play, but no one can remember more words than the title. Might have been done by Marty Robbins?

I posted this last month, but got no replies. Perhaps someone new is checking out the list. We keep coming up with a song that "sounds a lot like 'Cross the Brazos at Waco'" but we can't remember the words to it. Anyone out there who knows it? I believe it was a C&W hit in the 50s.

Here's the chorus:

Cross the Brazos at Waco, Ride hard and you'll make it by dawn Cross the Brazos at Waco, And you'll be safe in old San Anton.

I have the rest of the words for this somewhere and will try to post them when I find em.

It's reassuring to know that, despite appearances, George is not able to violate principles of physics and be in two threads at the same time ;-)

I was supposed to post with Lyr Add: in the subject line.
Not on that one, George - we already have it in the Digital Tradition. Use ADD only when posting lyrics that aren't in the DT.
Thanks.
