This looks pretty interesting...maybe there'd be a chance of some airplay for Mudcatters?

From National Public Radio's site at http://www.npr.org/programs/asc:

"NPR's first online music program, All Songs Considered, brings to the Web full versions of the music snippets played on NPR's afternoon news program. It's the brainchild of All Things Considered director Bob Boilen. Since the format is open to all musical styles, we'll often play music that doesn't get much airplay."

Tried to tune in the site - apparently we are not allowed to get music from NPR in Chicago. All I got was WBEZ talk radio.

There was a time when NPR had a ton of folk programming--but not these days.

Fabulous katkensho! I just got back from pub, and a heated conversation about the state of public radio these days. A chance to get some of this music out to the masses would be worth the effort. Thanks m'dear! ~Elle

The public radio station in the Dallas - Ft Worth area is strictly talk if you don't include the musical content on Prarie Home Companion. They used to be a great source to hear new music but not anymore. I really miss the World Cafe.
