Subject: High Lonesome video From: GUEST,Rex Date: 25 Apr 00 - 01:24 PM This is the Shanache video by Rachel Liebling about Bill Monroe and the development of Bluegrass. I've gone through it a number of times and realized that there are some instrumental tunes throughout it that I don't know. The credits are run at the end and they list all the songs and tunes played in the video. Titles, artists and I don't know what else. It goes by kinda fast. Before I go and freezeframe the tape and try to write it all down I was wondering if this information is already available in print or online somewhere. Can anyone help out there? Rex |
Subject: RE: High Lonesome video From: Rex Date: 25 Apr 00 - 01:29 PM That was me. I don't know what I did to wack out my cookie but it's fixed again. To followup, I'm reluctant to slow the tape down and try to read all the tunes and song info as there are about fifty of them listed. Rex |

Subject: RE: High Lonesome video From: Lonesome EJ Date: 26 Apr 00 - 01:53 AM Whew! For a second I thought you had film of me at my last gig. As it is, guess what I'd like to borrow from you next, Rex? Thanks again for the Civil War music CDs. LEJ |
Subject: RE: High Lonesome video From: Rex Date: 27 Apr 00 - 12:34 PM Well Mmario, your reference covers many that appear on the video that's true. And Thosp(capital T OK?), the soundtrack does cover a good bit of the songs recorded there and maybe a tune or two, I'll need to look at the list again. But I'm looking for a complete list of all the little bits of tunes that showed up as background material throughout the program. Picky, ain't I? All of that seems to run with the credits, I'm just not motivated enough to abuse myself with trying to read all it while the tape rolls. Yet. If nothing comes up I guess I'll have to hit the pause and try to read one frame at a time. Yuk! And LEJ, aw nevermind. No, I am terrified when I see someone turn up with a camcorder when I'm playing somewhere. Someone's going to watch me over and over again or worse, turn it over the media, or the law! They'd lock me up fer sure. I want to holler, Get that thing outtahere! I know, you can borrow the tape and _you_ figure out the names and performers that run in the credits. Hey, I like that idea.
