Hi all,

Does anybody out there have the lyrics to this country song? I think it was recorded by Bobby Bare. The chorus was something like:

Everybody's singing in the kitchen,
Mommas and daddies singing in the kitchen,
All the little children singing in the kitchen,
Banging on the pots and pans.

Wow! This song is a regular on Play School here in Oz - and a favourite of my kids when I let them loose in the saucepan cupboard.

I'm sure I have the lyrics (and chords) in the Play School Useful Book, but my 3-yr old has put it "somewhere safe", and I can't unearth it at the moment. I'll try and dig it out and post them later...

Ah yes Aussie play school.. Phillip Quast singing........ (he was for us mum's to ogle while the kids watched "Play School")

then you just repeated this and stuck
mummies and daddies

etc.. in, instead of "altogther now"

Thanks Joe. It's remarkable how many songs which were hits for others turn out to be written by Shel Silverstein. There's 'A Boy Named Sue', 'One's On The Way', 'The Winner'...and how many others?
Hooray Chickie and Alison! It's good to know that this wonderful song is in use. I seem to remember verses on Bobby bare's recording. Anybody got 'em?
