Okay, my friend and I are in a kinda unique situation and need to get some music to help with it. The catch is that we're both pretty new to the folk music thing and only have about 12 songs total in our repetoire. Further we are planted squarely in the American Midwest (Michigan) and thus don't have access to as many sources of "new" music as we would like.

But I figured who better to turn to for advice on titles then you guys?

Here's the situation: We both play bards at a local SCA-like thing called Carps. The period is very flexible, and in the tradition of other Live Action Games, we tend to use more 1800's drinking tunes then we do period renisance and middleages music. Within the group there are a few unsavory types who are "in control" that we would like to see "out of control" if you get my hint.

SO what we kinda are looking for are some songs that would spur a revolution against basically evil judges and tax collectors, but not will all nobility in general. Anyone up for the challange?

:)

Rob O

I would think anything in the Robin Hood Tradition....after all, he supported the king, it was the corrupt local authorities he was against.
