Subject: RE: Lyr Req: 'Zoo Blues' Jug Band MP3 From: GutBucketeer Date: 26 Aug 05 - 11:27 PM Zoo Blues has been a favorite jug band tune of mine for a long time but very few people are aware of it. It should be spread around and added to people's jug and novelty jazz repertoires. I've hooked up my old turntable to the stereo again, and was able to transfer the song to mp3. Robin Williamson was one of the founders of the Incredible String Band. Zoo Blues is an original jug band tune of his from a 1977 record, American Stonehenge. If you like puns and plays on words this song is for you. Here is the link: http://user.md.net/~jabunch/ Click on the file name: DOWNLOAD AND SAVE THE FILE (you may have to right click and choose save target to do this). Then open it from your hard disk with media player or something similar. I've also posted "Shorty's Got To Go" recorded by Bill Johnson and his Musical Notes on the site. Lucky Milender wrote it, and the Cats and The Fiddle also recorded it. The Cats and the Fiddle version adds an extra verse. If anyone knows the chords for this song I would really appreciate getting them. Gutbucketeer Aka Jim Bunch |
