Looks like I may be able to get there on Saturday this year, although I do have catering on Sunday. depends . . . . but the line up looks great. If any mudcatters want a jumping off point, some 45 minutes from the festival, let me know.

I would phrase it thus:

What a fantastic group of performers!!! Tom Russell, Jesse Winchester, Tom Russell, Guy Van Duser & Billy Novick, Tom Russell, Herdman, Hills & Mangsen, Tom Russell, Steve Gillette, Tom Russell. I can't wait!!!

But I have my prejudices...We all do.

Peter.

My reasons for being excited (and the reason I'm driving for 11 hours to be there)are FinestKind, Helen Schneyer, Barbara Carns, Margaret MacArthur, Martin Grosswendt, Reed Martin, Howie Bursen, and Double Decker Stringband, but I agree it's going to be a great festival whatever one's prejudices. As the dates for the Champlain Valley Folk Festival are getting closer, I thought I'd refresh the thread.

CVFF has been my favorite small festival for many years; even long before I got involved in helping to run it. I think this year's line-up is the best ever.

I'll be hosting the Saturday night mainstage concert and a couple of the daytime workshops on Saturday and Sunday.

I met a number of Mudcatters there last year. Hope to see some more this year.

Wear your Mudcat tee-shirts and gather by the Folk-Legacy booth for a central meeting place. We'll be in the large craft tent. See you there!
