Subject: Brown and Dana album It Was A Very Good Year From: Robert T. Date: 25 Nov 96 - 12:34 PM I once had a folk album in the 1960's by Brown and Dana entitled "It Was A Very Good Year". I believe that either one or both of them sand with the Serendipity Singers. Some of the selections included the Title Song, Old Blue,Sinner Man, Wanderin, etc. and all were done in a fantastic up- tempo version. I have tried unsuccessfully for years to find a copy or at least the lyrics to the tunes. I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me in finding in- formation on this album or in optaining a copy or cassette of it. Thank you! |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: It Was a Very Good Year From: Jeremiah McCaw Date: 12 Dec 06 - 10:17 PM I dunno, Guest. Possibly the best thing Sinatra ever recorded. Definitely my favourite orchestration - sort of Ravel-like. |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: It Was a Very Good Year From: Cluin Date: 12 Dec 06 - 10:30 PM I liked Shatner's version of this one. No, really. Jeez, you're really going to town on these old lyric requests, George. Go, man, go! |
