Subject: Who did it? From: TheOldMole Date: 06 Jul 00 - 03:04 AM Trying to remember who recorded this blues entitled "That's Alright." I keep thinking Little Junior Parker, but I'm not sure. Here's some of the lyric: You told me baby Your love for me was strong But I woke up this mornin' Your big words was gone But that's alright I know you love another man but that's alright Sometimes I wonder Who's lovin' you tonight |

Subject: RE: Who did it? From: TheOldMole Date: 06 Jul 00 - 11:29 AM Pene - thanks. But someone else did it first. I know I heard it - probably had the record - back in the 50s, and Jimmy didn't have a solo career back then. So I'm still looking. Too bad there's no writing credit on that site. It's a good one, though...you're amazing at finding these things. |
Subject: RE: Who did it? From: TheOldMole Date: 06 Jul 00 - 11:34 AM ...but I followed the links on your thread to All Music Guide, and found that it was recorded by Little Junior Parker - it's on a couple of his greatest hits collections. Funny...I thought I'd checked All Music Guide before, and not been able to find it. But I think the Parker version is the one I remember. |
