Subject: RE: Hearme: Anyone up for a song From: dwditty Date: 11 Jul 00 - 07:32 AM It seems I can't manage to get there til quite late (11-12 PM US East Coast Time), but it's is so nice that there are always a few people left to close up the place. Of course, I know others around the world are just opening it up. What a great find. It looks like kudos to Jon on this one. Thanks, Jon and whoever else is responsible for setting things up. dw |

Subject: RE: Hearme: Anyone up for a song From: Dulci46 Date: 11 Jul 00 - 08:25 AM I had a great time on Hearme last night. Really enjoyed Mbo, Callie & dwditty singing. I did Movin On, Country Girl, and messed up Groovy and Angel Band on the autoharp. Just get to nervous when I try to sing or play, but I'm working on it. I really love Hearme, and thanks to all of you that keep on singing when no one else will. |
Subject: RE: Hearme: Anyone up for a song From: Callie Date: 11 Jul 00 - 08:36 AM Dulci, your playing was lovely. if it's any consolation, I get so nervous performing publicly that I often back out of it! But HearMe is relatively unthreatening! I look forward to hearing you again. It was a great session - dwditty and Mbo and yourself. Thanks all, for your great music. |
Subject: RE: Hearme: Anyone up for a song From: GutBucketeer Date: 11 Jul 00 - 09:25 AM Callie and Dulci: We should create a performing in public support group! My memory fades away as my turn in a song circle gets closer and closer! When I made my banjo playing debut at a campfire for the scouts a couple of weeks ago half way through the song I realized that I was forgetting to change the chords! I was just strumming away. Funny thing is that no one seemed to notice. (Probably because it was "Mama Don't Allow" and everyone was too busy making their own noise) JAB |
