Subject: I'm looking for NW morris in NW England

Some friends and I are suffering withdrawal symptoms (of dancing / singing / drin...) after our NW morris side folded a couple of years back due to lack of interest. We are 1 musician (me) and 3 competent dancers (1 male, 2 female). Is there any interest in a new side in the Altrincham / Warrington area of NW England?

John,

Are you only interested in starting a new side, or joining an existing one?

If the latter is the case, this site of Morris links (including sides in the Cheshire / Manchester) areas may be a good starting point.

Another good starting point may be to contact Derek Schofield (He lives in Crewe, is a keen dancer, has a pile of contacts and is very much in the know about all things EFDSS)

If you send me a personal message, I'll forward his contact details.

Sorry, I know very little about the morris scene myself, but I hope these provide a good starting point.

Ed

Thanks Ed. I'm (we're) looking for a half decent existing side that's local, or we would be interested in forming a new side. I already have Derek's Email from a Guardian article a few months back. I'll give hime a shout. Thanks again. John
