I'm EAGERLY looking forward to Milwaukee.(August 17-20) The line up looks incredible! Danu, Moving Cloud, Joe Burke and Sean McGuire, La Bottine Souriante(OK they're French Canadien, not Irish but they're great, Liz Caroll and many more.

Sorcha, if it's any consolation I'm gonna have no $$$$ after the fest.
And what's more I'm playing a wedding the weekend of the Washington Irish Fest and that looks really good as well. WWWAAAAaaahhhhH!

(rich--no consolation at all. sob. sob. But, we ARE going to Winfield this year. I'm gonna start a thread a little closer to mid-Sept) Not enough Irish at Winfield, tho. I should be thankful they have any at all, started out as a Bluegrass Festival.

Rich, I just may show up. Look for a big old man with a Mudcat Shirt. I always show up at the Gaelic League tent and near the Irish Wolfhounds in addition to the music tents.

Never missed when I lived in Chi-town. great music. stabs at performing Yeats were pitiful.

Maybe Le Boutine souriante has a Brittany influence?

Pity all those cool fests started after I left town. (Except Summerfest, which started a couple years before I left.) If my mother thought of it, she'd probably use Irish Fest to try to lure me back for a visit. (Actually, I haven't been to Milwaukee since a year ago in May.)

Sorry, I can't make it, but maybe one of these years!
