This could take a while (a couple of days). I have to locate my copy of the soundtrack album. Will do what I can. Might it not have been Betty Buckley as Dixie Scott doing her own singing?

Thank you for the help. To be brutally honest, I am trying to download the song on Napster; however, the only version I can find is the one sung by Betty Buckley. You are absolutely right; I believe she wrote the song, but I thought she did not sing it. The version I downloaded sounds like nothing for the movie - I wonder if I put in "Dixie Scott" - the character she played - I will get what I want. Please keep trying.

Hey, Rugby Guy, how about post the words. I LOVE that song. That opening scene when it was playing and he was stumbling around in that old nasty motel room with the sunshine streaming through the blinds; now that was a stunner.

OK, I'm back. Yes, Betty Buckley (as Dixie Scott) did sing the song in the film. Her version was not on the soundtrack. It was written by Austin Roberts and Bobby Hart.
