Poor bob jr afraid of wasps! While my sister & I were broke down on the highway for 2 hours yesterday, she was screaming her brains out about a bug in the car. Needless to say she got out fast. The bug was pretty scary...kinda like a cross between a bee and a dragonfly, it was that big, and boy what a buzzy racket it made. I remained cool and unceremoniously squashed it with an umbrella. >>SPLAT<<

Ugh! Thanks a million, Mbo. Anyway, don't get at people who are scared of bees and wasps. I personally hate them because when I was about 6 I got stung and I've been scared of them ever since. Mind you, I made a fair racket. All the neighbours came and stared, cos my screaming made them scared! Hahahahaha!

like Jason, I seem to be an Arggh-o-not..very few things bother me like that.(I don't go 'round messing with spiders etc...I just don't panic if one gets near me..I am the guy they call to get the wasp OUT)...and once at a zoo demo, a friend turned and handed me a 9 foot long Burmese Rock Python..(big snake!)..no big deal, but it was work a she kept moving and shifting her weight (35-40 lbs)

...I can climb trees and ladders and I have no problems in the dark, on freeways, or in crowded elevators...I can take sound or leave it, I am be alone or with a crowd...nothing really upsets me in that way...

wow---maybe I'm dead!

Bill, either you are lucky or, as you so rightly say, you're dead!

Bill, is a Rock Python any relation to a Rock Lobster?

As previously mentioned I hate snakes. A couple of years ago I worked in a shop which sold greetings cards and developed photos. The chap who owned was also a photographer. In the run up to Chirstmas it was decided to push the idea of portraits at reasonable prices as Christmas gifts. The screaming weans were bad enough, what nearly finished me off was the python. I had to be in the shop while it was through the back getting its portrait taken. AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH. I didn't actually see it in the flesh as it were but I did look at the pictures, from a distance with one eye shut(quite brave for me)

Most bugs, spiders, etc. don't bother me, but CENTIPEDES give me the willies. I think it's because (1) they can run amazingly fast; and (2) sometimes they sit motionless for such a long period of time that you wonder if they're dead, and then when you move up to get a closer look, they take off!

I once had a cat that caught and ate a centipede. The crunchy sound she made almost made me retch. Later, when she wanted to snuggle up to me, all I could think was, "Get away from me, centipede breath!"

I stepped on a bee once (barefoot of course) so I'm a little stinger shy...but they don't make me scream and run. And when I lived in Miami, though I hated Palmetto bugs as much as the next person, I was the one who was called upon, in the office, to deal with the big ugly critters. Just took off my shoe and beat the crap out of them. I'm a female, most definitely, but I get REALLY annoyed when I hear others of my sex scream about a bug...just kill it!

yep, I AM lucky to be reasonably phobia-free...and no, a rock lobster is MUCH cheaper and easier to cook than a Rock Python...*grin*..

Diva..yes, while the python was hanging around my neck, there were people in the audince who were heading OUT of the room...as if the silly snake was going anywhere...*shrug*..(the snake lived in a city-owned zoo, so when she was taken on these trip, she was really working for the government...so they named her "Sybil"......get it? "Sybil Serpent")

(I suppose if a bug dropped off a ceiling onto me, I'd shake it and swat it quickly...I don't like being bitten or stung...but it is not like those who really get upset..I am in real sympathy for you)

15 minutes later, the line strikes me....a Rock Python is a snake who likes drums and electric guitars when she squeezes you to death....so, a Rock Lobster.....
