Subject: annap is now annamill-for those who care From: annamill Date: 16 Aug 00 - 01:43 PM I haven't officially changed my id yet, and Max said he'd be upset if I did, but..I don't see how I can keep a moniker that has my ex's name implied. Oh yes, Honey and I were hitched Saturday at the best wedding there could ever be. It stopped raining long enough for us to have a beautiful ceremony on the beach. It was glorious! Everyone had a fine time and I wish I could have asked every one of my Mudcat friends to be there, but seats were limited. Glenn (Honey) and I are soo happy! (Gads! I have a husband) and we have a beautiful new home to share our happiness with friends. I can't wait til our next gathering. Early in September I hope. I'll set it up. We have to wait for Dick and Susan to get back. Can anyone let me know when this is?? We have been concentrating on the wedding and now we will be concentrating on the video store til it's done, but we can have a gathering in there somewhere. Love, annamill |

I've been waiting for annamill to post something so I could blab! It was a great wedding, and a great weekend. The ceremony was wonderful - annamill had a gorgeous beaded white dress and Glenn (Honey) had a white tux. The best man had a black tux and a pair of thongs on his feet. The first dance at the reception was - don't know the name, but it was the one by Led Zeppelin that goes "If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you." Got to hear Glenn play with his band. Got to meet a lot of really nice, interesting people. Started playing music at around midnight on Fri night - don't know when we stopped. Played music most of Sun afternoon. Glenn's brother and family are all accoustically musical, and the guy (Chris?) who wrote a song about almost squishing Bruce Springsteen's dog sang that and other songs. I thought annamill's last house and location were great. The new one is better - a real dream house! Thanks to Anna for an experience I'll never forget! May you both receive the the love, kindness and generosity that you show others. |

It took a lot for her to ignore the frantic warnings of a lot of people saying it was a completely nutty idea to invite total strangers to your house. Somehow, I have an idea this was not the first time you witnessed the incredible gutsiness of this woman. The Mudcat is forever indebted to your Anna. Well I have not made it to one of THE GATHERINGS, but I sure hope to one day. In the meantime, I wish you both all the happiness in the world. dw |

We worried all morning about the weather. However, it never did rain that afternoon. Since it threatened all day, Anna and Glenn's party had the beach to themselves. Later some took advantage of that to go "skinny dipping." Anna and Glenn were as handsome as any wedding couple can be. Jeri didn't mention Glenn's black and white shoes, just enough craziness to offset the proper white tux. The party included performances by Bert and myself. We had signigicant trouble with the sound man (perhaps hewasn't too sound that night). He placed the mikes in front of the speakers for the PA and wondered why he got so much feedback. We Mudcatters crept downstairs to play some music. Some guy named Max played some blues for us. We drew an audience from upstairs as well. Anna, I didn't know I missed the Electric Slide. Damn! Well, ya just can't do anything. Sunday Anna and Glenn put on a barbecue. The weather was not as nice, very damp and dreary. Anna and Glenn moved into their new digs three days before the party. Have these people no sanity! Oh, but the house. It is located further up the river, but it has fantastic view with a far reach. Sitting in the living room or on the deck, you are so close to the water if feels like you're on board a boat. If we're lucky, Anna will squeeze in a party before winter sets in. It was another chance to get to know some Mudcatter's on a more personal basis. Jeri, Max, Max's friend, Bert and his wife, and Anna and Glenn. And Glenn's brother is an "old folkie." He has this Martin that has clearly been a war horse. It is no museum model. The fretboard is gullied, it has cracks galore, and it's even held together by duct tape on the back. Still sounds great, but C.F.Martin must be rolling in his grave. To me, there is an attraction to a guitar that has been "loved nearly to death", perhaps because I own one. Roger in Baltimore |
