Anyone going to the Irish 2000 Festival in Altamont, NY? It's a one day affair on Saturday, Sept 23rd with just tons of music crammed in, including our own Seamus Kennedy. The web site has all the info including sound clips of most of the groups that will be there. I hadn't heard of a lot of them, but after listening to the clips, want to see them.

P.S. kat, thanks for the hint about starting this through Loki

I didn't expect it anyway. I had gone in to pour out a cup o' tae while the page was loading, and I couldn't figure out where the music was coming from. I thought the wee lad downstairs had found a new toy to play with. *BG*

I dunno. It's a long way to drive for one day. (She says, as she contemplates going there to see Dick Gaughan and Brian McNeil in Oct...)

I'm in the DC area & I might be interested in going (...haven't checked the "blue clicky thing" yet *g*). You want to carpool?

I'm giving this another shot. It's only one week away now, that's 7 days, well, 6 if you don't count today, but who's counting. . . .

Is anyone else going??

Hoot & Fidget, I'd consider carpooling but DC is about 800 miles out of the way. . . I live a couple hours west of Altamont. :-)
