And:me neither.I mean, nothing should be forgotten,or it's gonna happen again. But,probably,if Bette Midler,Berbra Streisand and crowd avoided recording all that stuff my flatmates loudly listen to ,i could sleep peacefully...and Tom Jones and Lionel Richie...but then again, they would probably stuff something worse in ther cd player. Hang on:I GOT IT!!!!Allucinogenous chemical drugs. From them on,you're not an artist if you are not into them. And I would still have three or four friend I loved who lost it completely thanks to them.

Ickle Dorrit, I don't want to start an argument, but I really feel that I must take issue with your post. SOME people quite like mushy peas. :o)

Should have been lost forever? "Two little boys" [ tho' we'd also lose Billy Connelys parody, which would be a shame ]

Re-runs of "I love Lucy" - I didn't like her much first time round.

LOL Bill!!! I see you're getting that good, aging curmudgeon, thought process down! Reminds me of an old farmer down in Georgia where kudzu grows so wild and over everything (if you don't move for a couple of minutes it will grow over YOU).

When asked what bothered him, he said, "There's only three things I hate. Kudzu, city folks, and kudzu."

It's a bit chilling to read the first post in this thread at this particular time in our history.

It's such a powerful example of how meddling with the political affairs of other countries can really come back and bite you on the ass.

There's a fair few things that I reckon should be lost for all eternity. Here goes:-

Idiots who think that people of my age group (under 18) are not worth listening to (see isms)
Osama Bin Laden (for obvious reasons)
Anne Robinson (cos she's a [censored!])
Myra Hindley & people like her (again for obvious reasons!)
Politicians (they'd have problems in the Jim Carrey fil "Liar, Liar"!)
Nasty teachers (like my GCSE History one!)
People who are really perky first thing in the morning (for example one of my A Level German tutors)
Bob The Builder (just cos I hate him)
Over 30s releasing pop records (but I'll let Madonna off, cos she's cool, even though she is forty-odd!)
Sexism (obvious)
Racism (obvious)
Any other forms of derogatory isms (obvious)
People who think my age group shouldn't know such words as "derogatory"!!
Whoever thought up the AS Levels!
Dave Benson Phillips (British children's presenter, very annoying)
Cartoon characters releasing records (except Gorillaz cos they're not cheesy!)
Spam (both junk emails/text messages and the food)
Green ketchup (looks like slime!)
Mushy peas (more slime!)
Spiders (I hate them)
Slugs (horrible)
Maths GCSE (or any form of Maths exam, especially for people like me who are rubbish at it!)
People who speak to under 18s as if they are thick or something (or just generally patronising people. I've come close to hitting people a few times for that!)
Internet service providers who kick you off the web when you are posting something fairly long to Mudcat (as has just happened!)
War (obvious)

There's lots of other things but I've decided to cut a long story short, as it were.

Max is right. NOTHING should be lost. Everything is good----even the bad stuff.

I think, personally, that as a species on a small blue planet, we could have made much better progress without monotheism of any kind.

Jet Ski's (or Sea Doo's or personal watercraft, whatever you all call them) and trailbikes (motorcycles).

Amos,
If we didn't have monothesim, we'd just have more gods to fight about!
