Anne isn't very good about updating her Website, but she did post an update late in 2005 (click). She has been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, but says she is doing well. She got married to her longtime partner, hurdy-gurdy builder Matt Szostak.
If you haven't heard Anne's music, you're missing a treat.

Hi, Joe. Anne is certainly still singing, playing, and writing beautiful music with her husband Matt, with the Quasimodal Chorus, and other musicians such as Gordon Bok and Cindy Kallet. Send me a PM telling what recordings you have and I'll help you find others. We sing together most every week.

I love Anne's music, and I'm so glad to hear she is still active, in spite of Parkinson's Disease. As I'm suffering from the same thing myself (not too bad yet), I find it very encouraging to hear she is doing well.
I noticed her website is down. Hopefully it's because she is updating it.
Maeve, please give my love to Anne when you see her next. And to Gordon, too! xxxxx

Do pursue current treatments for your Parkinson's as you are able. It takes effort and constant adjustment to find the best approach for each person. Pacing yourself as well as challenging yourself seem to be key.

Anne Dodson & Friends 28th Annual Winter Program

For the past 27 years Anne Dodson and her many talented friends have rung in the holiday season with a concert that celebrates life, love, loss and general silliness. This year the concert will be held on Sunday, December 6th at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary of the First Congregational Church in Camden, and will feature a returning cast of characters: The Quasimodal Chorus, Matt Szostak, Will Brown, David Dodson, Kat Logan, Jim Loney, Gordon Bok and Hazel Delehey. Cindy Kallet, a long-time Camden resident, now residing in Indiana, will be back to join the festivities again this year.

As usual, the concert challenges the definition of "seasonal" including traditional and original songs from the US, Finland, Africa and Britain, and with subjects ranging from the changes of seasons, recycling and the joys of aging!

The concert is the closing event of "Christmas by the Sea," Camden's annual weekend of holiday festivities. As always, "Anne Dodson and Friends" is a warm, informal concert, where the musicians take delight in blurring the line between performer and audience as together the community wraps up another year.

Doors open at 6:30 PM and advance tickets are available at The Owl and Turtle in Camden and at Rock City Cafe in Rockland. Tickets may also be reserved in advance, to be held at the door. Adults: $13 advance, $15 suggested donation at the door. Children (6 -12): $6 in advance, $7 suggested donation at the door. Free under 6 years. Refreshments will be served. Other News! Anne has been recording… a little. "A Lot of Fine Stories" is a fun song about the things she allegedly learned from her mother. The single is her first "official" recording since 2000's "Against The Moon" and features Anne on cello - accompanied by Matt Szostak on cittern, Cindy Kallet on guitar, and Will Brown.
