Subject: chords 'The unquiet grave' From: GUEST,Knut in Norway (kingknut@online.no) Date: 18 Sep 00 - 04:31 AM Hi. I need help. Does anyone out there have the chords or tabs(for guitar) for the song "The Unquiet Grave" the way the Irish band "Solas" does it on their album "Sunny spells and scattered showers"? (It's by the way a great album!!). The song is a beautiful lullaby I like to learn so I can play it for my newborn son. I have'nt been able to find a website for Solas, so now I turn to you folks. In really hope some of you can help me. |

Will do so when I get home from work - if no-one else has. Alternatively, you could do a forum search on 'the unquiet grave' and see what comes up. Good luck, Catrin |

Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: chords 'The unquiet grave' From: Catrin Date: 18 Sep 00 - 03:20 PM True, to call this one a lullabye might be stretching things a bit. But I think you can sing anything at all to babies. Chances are, if you love the song, they'll love it too. This one has got a quiet slow melody that would be perfect for sending a young one off to sleep. How many children can boast parents with the imagination to sing one like this to them? When the child is old enough to ask, you can have great fun discussing what it all might mean. Was the corpse 'really' speaking? Was it unconscious thoughts of the one doing the mourning? Or what? Children are a lot less squeamish than us oldies give them credit for and like all good folk songs, this one is open to limitless interpretation. Congratulations on your newborn son Knut! You've a wonderful road ahead. Catrin P.S. Sorry I can't help with the chords. I keep my tunes in my head - not very accessible for other people I'm afraid. P.P.S. I know you were only joking Dave - it just got me thinking that's all :-) |
