I may have these lyrics somewhere, but finding them in all these piles of stuff is another matter.

If all else fails, I may be able to transcribe from a recording.

Someone else may have them at hand, but if they aren't posted soon, I'll try to get them off a CD.

Lyrics and music for this song are to be found in "THE 12-STRING GUITAR AS PLAYED BY LEADBELLY, Oak Publications. This might out of print, but you can have my copy if you PM me with your address. I dig old "Huddie" but I don't play this stuff on my 12-string.

This seems an appropriate place to draw attention to great compilation of Leadbelly blues recordings. 'Fannin Street' is the first track. Catfish records has compiled a CD of Leadbelly blues recordings specifically - as opposed to his other material. The album, 'Easy Rider', has excellent sound and should not be passed by those who wish an insight into Leadbelly as bluesman. You can find details and track listing here:
