I know him although not very well. He allowed me to use his quote in my brochure... I'd be willing to ask him if he knows about Mudcat..

I think the Digital Tradition is better-known that you might think, and people most often refer to it right here at Mudcat. I would suppose that a number of performers might be reluctant to participate in discussions for a number of reasons (like protecting their privacy), but the Digital Tradition has been known of as a valuable resource for a long time. I found a copy of the Digital Tradition in about 1993 - on a Maine computer bulletin board operated by Noel Paul Stookey, of Peter, Paul and Mary.
