Subject: RE: From: Shula Date: 29 Aug 97 - 04:16 AM Thanks, Earl. So far, I know that the lyrics I seek belong to a song called "Cook with Honey," written by Valerie Carter, and sung by Judy Collins on an album called "True Stories and Other Dreams", released in 1973. Valerie Carter also sings the song, herself, on an album called "Howdy Moon," released in 1974. Surfed through dozens of lyrics sites, but no luck, yet. I believe the first line is: "I always cook with honey, to sweeten up the night(?)..." Further suggestions? Thanks. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: I Always Cook With Honey From: GUEST,RS Date: 10 Feb 18 - 03:29 PM Well, that's a trip back in time, isn't it. The idea that you might want to be nice to someone, that you might want to cook for another person without expecting financial or political gain is quite refreshing. And honey! And sweet wine! Two ingredients that now 20 years later would be thought of as hopelessly quaint. Thank you internet for reminding me what is important. |
