Subject: Welcome indieman! From: CarolC Date: 01 Nov 00 - 03:31 PM I would like to welcome a new member to the Mudcat. His Mudcat name is indieman. He is a hardworking young filmaker, and he co-owns a small production studio in the DC suburbs (hint hint, for anyone who wants a good price on getting something produced). indieman is too busy with everything else to spend much time making music right now (and he's a senior in high school), but he is a music lover, and he even enjoys listening to his mother play the accordion! I found out that he is a member when he sent me a personal message that said "Hey, Mom...what's up?" Welcome to the Mudcat, indieman! Mom (Carol) |

Subject: RE: BS: Welcome indieman! From: Skipjack K8 Date: 01 Nov 00 - 05:12 PM Indieman, I think yer mum's the bizniss, and any issue of hers is a friend of mine, so welcome to the 'Cat, and keep listening to yer mum play the accordion. Hope to shake your hand next May. Skipjack |
Subject: RE: BS: Welcome indieman! From: Seamus Kennedy Date: 02 Nov 00 - 12:56 AM Hope you haven't inherited your Mom's propensity for indulging in double dactyls (look it up - you're a student!) for no apparent reason. Especially when there are perfectly good anapests and iambic pentameters lying around waiting to be used. You're in D.C. I'm in Annapolis, let's make a movie!! Witches, videotapes, Linda Blair, whattaya think indieman! Oh, welcome, by the way. Seamus |

Subject: RE: BS: Welcome indieman! From: SINSULL Date: 02 Nov 00 - 09:02 AM Welcome, indieman. Maybe Max can use some of your film experience to work the bugs out the radio show. A pleasure to have another member of the "C" family here. |
Subject: RE: BS: Welcome indieman! From: GUEST,indieman Date: 02 Nov 00 - 02:15 PM Hey hey hey! It' me, indieman. Thank you all for the warm welcome, I feel truly appreciated. Although I've spent relatively little time in the mudcat due to my schedule, I hope to return more often. In case anyone is wondering, the "indie" in "indieman" is short for independant filmmaker. Thanks for the overwhelming welcome all!!! |
Subject: RE: BS: Welcome indieman! From: indieman Date: 02 Nov 00 - 02:22 PM sorry about that guest thing bad luck of a newcomer |
Subject: RE: BS: Welcome indieman! From: CarolC Date: 02 Nov 00 - 08:11 PM I just talked to indieman on the phone. He said that the warmth of the greeting he recieved in this thread has made him understand the reason for Mudcat addiction. It's a good thing they keep him really busy at school, or I might start to feel a little guilty for spreading my addiction around (to my son, fer cryin out loud). Carol |
Subject: RE: BS: Welcome indieman! From: P05139 Date: 03 Nov 00 - 07:05 AM I'm addicted to Mudcat so don't worry about it, Carol. Indieman, you're very very lucky to have such a great mum!! |
Subject: RE: BS: Welcome indieman! From: Amergin Date: 03 Nov 00 - 10:23 AM Indieman, you realise what this means? This means your mom can tell us all indieman stories on open forum.... |
Subject: RE: BS: Welcome indieman! From: CarolC Date: 04 Nov 00 - 05:41 PM indieman asked me to make apologies for him for not coming back to this thread after the most recent kind and gracious posts. He is up to his neck in a swamp full of aligators right now. He has a news segment to produce for his school's television station (Tuesday deadline), and he took his SAT exams today. He was very disapointed that he wouldn't be able to come back on the Mudcat for a few days. He says "hello" to all. Carol

My degree is in film (Moving Image Arts, College of Santa Fe, 1994 -- although I'm your mom's age, not your'n) and I adore indies. (My son was in the same department I was and graduated a year after I did. Anywayzzzz, welcome. Don't mind us. We live here . WyoWoman |
