Subject: Big Mick, You Inspired Me! From: wysiwyg Date: 08 Nov 00 - 02:32 AM Big Mick, you did good. You have worked hard, creatively, and with heart. As I have gotten to know you just the tinest bit over the last few months, you have been a wonderful model of truth fueled by positive energy. And the way you care for others-- I am humbled and encouraged when I see you in action. You have strengthened me as a helper of many sorts, because of this. Please keep teaching me by your example and friendship! ~Susan |

Subject: RE: Big Mick, You Inspired Me! From: Peter T. Date: 08 Nov 00 - 10:33 AM Well, it is pretty obvious it sure wasn't Al Gore who got the vote out and won Michigan. It was Big Mick and his boys. yours, Peter T. |
Subject: RE: Big Mick, You Inspired Me! From: GUEST,Big Mick Date: 08 Nov 00 - 01:56 PM Let me first say Thank You for your very kind words. Secondly, you give me far to much credit. My role in directing the Michigan campaign in the first half of the year and acting as an advisor/ramrod in the last part was one of many important pieces that contributed to a very interesting campaign. I am sincere when I tell you that every time I walk into a campaign office and see someone volunteering their time to answer phones; every time I see a bunch of folks "knock/drop" a neighborhood, or staff a phone bank, and I know they are doing it for no other reason than it being a reflection of their values and their desire to do the right thing, I am humbled. One of the advantages of experience is that you realize how dependant you are on others for any successes you may be fortunate enough to experience. With regard to my "role model" status, I find it embarassing. I have far too many warts for that. It just seems to me that one should embrace a set of values in a pro active way. I believe that ones life always stands for something. What that something is, is dependant on what we are willing to embrace. I see heroes every day and try to act in a way that brings honor to their struggle. I hope to shite that I do. Could we talk about something else?..................anybody got a spare jar of the vile black stuff? I've a t'irst. Big Mick |

From: wysiwyg Date: 08 Nov 00 - 02:10 PM Yes, Mick, that is why you are an inspriation-- because you remind me to do my best at what I do, and remember all the people who make it possible. Go ahead and blush! Here's a jar of the vile, to Mick!!!! (Yeah I know, the maudlin weepy lovesongs are supposed to come AFTER we've all tanked up, but hey! I started early!) ~Susan |

Guess I'll have to wait a few days for the "home free" part! Called Catspaw for the thirtieth time in three years and for the twentyninth time...no answer! Was with you in spirit though. Rick |
Subject: RE: Big Mick, You Inspired Me! From: wysiwyg Date: 08 Nov 00 - 05:29 PM Yeah, we may be in for a Wart-a-Thon in Mick's honor. Maybe he'll sponsor a potato for a prize. I can just see it now, the thread gets so gross no one bothers to attack it for its positivity. No backlash. OK. I get it. I'll try to be good. I mean bad. Oh you know what I mean! ~Susan |
